Business Writing from First-Hand Experience

As a small business owner, I have learned first-hand how important the written word can be in business and marketing.  I have enjoyed creating and marketing my own online retail business, and through that experience I realized that the part I enjoyed most was writing.  From product descriptions to blogs, even sales letters and emails to customers, I believe in the strength of the written word. 

With a Master's Degree and background in Education, and the personal experience of raising two young children, I am able to combine academic knowledge with a parent's practical hands-on experience.   My background allows me to be flexible yet thorough in a variety of subjects, including parenting and family, pregnancy and newborn, children, education, products, lifestyle, technology, writing and small business.

In addition to my business writing experience, I have written academic research papers, synthesis papers, and literature reviews in the field of education.  As a result of my 14-year teaching career, I have created and implemented multiple curricular units, lesson plans, related student activities and assessments in a variety of elementary subjects.  I also have experience in writing press releases, event descriptions, interviews and news articles.
